Sun-Woo Hwan (Lee Seung Gi), who was also studying in New York, was ordered to return to Korea by his grandmother, Jang Sook Ja, to learn how to manage her food company. Eun Sung and Hwan, who were on the same flight back home, accidentally had their luggage bags exchanged, which led to several misunderstandings between the two of them.

Go Pyung Joong, Eun Sung's father, struggled to save his company from going bankrupt. One day, his wallet and valuables were stolen by a thief who subsequently died in a gas explosion accident. The police, upon finding Go’s belongings on the thief, mistakenly identified the thief as Go and a death certificate for Go was promptly issued. Go decided to lie low and not tell his family that he was alive so that his family could claim his life insurance money and use it to clear the debts. However his second wife, Baek Sung Hee, kicked her stepchildren, Eun Sung and Eun Woo, out of the house after collecting the insurance money and moved into a new home with her daughter, Yoo Seung Mi (Moon Chae Won).

Eun Sung asked for help from several of her friends, including her senior, Hyung Jin, who avoided her because she was no longer rich. She managed to find a job at a nightclub with the help of her friend, Hye Ri. At the nightclub, Eun Sung met Hyung Jin's senior, Park Joon Se (Bae Soo Bin), who was shocked to see her working there. She also met Hwan, who caused her to lose contact with Eun Woo. Realising that Eun Woo was missing, Eun Sung was devastated and tried searching for her brother but to no avail. With the help of Hye Ri and Joon Se, Eun Sung rented a small room and started a small dumplings stall while continuing her search for Eun Woo.

Meanwhile, Jang became deeply disappointed in Hwan as Hwan had no direction in life and did not know how to cherish her company and her employees. While pondering over what to do about her grandson, Jang visited a neighborhood that she used to live in when she was poor and encountered Eun Sung who was selling dumplings. Jang met with an accident and received help from Eun Sung. Jang, seeing that Eun Sung tried her best to take care of her even when she could not afford her own daily expenses, was touched by Eun Sung's compassion. Jang brought Eun Sung home and announced to her family that Eun Sung was going to live with them and that she was going to appoint Eun Sung as the heir of her food company...

Country of origin South Korea
Language(s) Korean
No. of episodes 16
Synopsis

The Vineyard Man is a romantic-comical drama that revolves around the life of Lee Ji-Hyun (Yoon Eun Hye), a city girl who wants to show the world that beneath her seemingly ordinary characteristics is an extraordinary girl who will some day achieve great things. Ji-Hyun is a striving young clothing designer, who hopes to have her own label one day. Her plans are put on hold when she reluctantly takes up a tempting offer from her granduncle. She had to work one year in her granduncle's vineyard in order to inherit it. In the vineyard, the challenge of adjusting to country life is made more difficult when she has to learn how to grow grapes under the supervision of the seemingly uncouth and unsympathetic man in charge of the vineyard, Jang Taek-Gi (Oh Man Suk).

Amidst conflicts and trials, Ji-Hyun and Taek-Gi learned to care for each other. As time goes by, Ji Hyun finds herself falling in love with the vineyard and the man in it. Synopsis

Set in an alternate 21st-century reality where Korea possesses a royal family, since 1945 to present, this show revolves around the lives of the Crown Prince (Hwangtaeja) Yi Shin, and his new bride, Chae-kyeong. The depicted royal family in the show is modelled after the last royal family of Korea, which in reality reigned until the start of the Japanese Occupation in 1910 and was not reinstated after Japanese surrender in Second World War, 1945.

The series starts off with the news that the King, Shin's father, is very ill. With the grim outlook on the King's health, the royal family scrambles to find a wife for Shin, so as to allow him to take over the royal throne if the situation requires. Despite being in love with another girl, the ambitious and talented ballerina Hyo-rin whom Shin initially proposed to (she rejects him to pursue her ballet dreams), Shin eventually marries a commoner to whom he was betrothed by his late grandfather in an old agreement with the girl's grandfather. Shin marries the headstrong yet lovable Chae-kyeong after Hyo-rin's rejection. Despite initially feeling nothing for Chae-kyeong, love eventually blossoms between the couple.

In the meantime, however, matters are further complicated with the return of Yi Yul and his mother Lady Hwa-Young, who was once the Crown Princess (Bingoong) before the death of her husband, the late Crown Prince, older brother of the current King. Yul and his mother were chased out of the palace some time after the death of his father, and it is later revealed that this was due to the King's discovery of an affair between Yul's mother and the current King who was his father's younger brother. Yul's mother had returned with a sinister motive in mind; to restore her son back to the throne, which would have been his eventually, if his father had not died. A series of events befall the palace with the schemes Yul's mother carries out, and is further intensified by the various scandals involving the royal family, which are inclusive of the Shin's continuing relationship with his old flame Hyo-rin, and the budding love Yul develops for Chae-kyeong, his cousin's new-found bride.

Main Characters

Shin Chae-Kyeong (신채경)

Portrayed by Yoon Eun Hye, Shin Chae-kyeong is a very creative and outgoing, normal high school girl. She attends the same school as Lee Shin, the Crown Prince of Korea. Her grandfather was best friends with the previous King. To honor his friend, the previous King dictated that Chae-kyeong is to become the Crown Princess, which means that she is to marry whoever is the Crown Prince at the time of the marriage (Lee Shin) . Although she often seems immature and irritating, she is a kindhearted, innocent, honest person. Often called "Pig" by her younger brother, Chae-kyeong marries the prince because of the promise made between her grandfather and Shin's. Her initial reaction to Lee Shin is one of irritation but she falls in love with him in the earlier part of the series, not knowing that he, in return, feels the same way, until the last few episodes. Although she regards Lee Yul only as a friend and cousin-in-law, he falls in love with her.

Lee Shin (이신)

The crown prince of Korea, Lee Shin, as portrayed by model and actor Joo Ji Hoon, is seen as a smug, indifferent, insensitive young man. After getting rejected by his girlfriend when he proposes to her, he decides to go along with his elders' arranged marriage with Shin Chae-kyeong. At first, he was irritated by her naivete and enthusiasm, but as he recognizes how genuinely sweet she is, he begins to open his heart to her, and falls in love. Throughout the series, it becomes obvious that inside, he is just a lonely, sensitive, warm and kind young man. He also owns a teddy bear, Alfred, the only thing that he can let his guard down for, which is used as a focal point throughout the series. As his cousin re-enters the picture after being forced out of the country many years earlier, the prince quickly butts head with him, as Lee Yul is a contender not only for the throne, but for the crown princess Chae-kyeong's love. Chae-kyeong does not realize this until later on in the story.

Lee Yul (이율)

Kim Jeong Hoon plays Lee Yul, Shin's cousin. He returns from a long stay in England with his mother, the widow of the former crown prince. He is the opposite of Shin, he is warm, kindhearted, sweet, romantic, and charismatic—an instant hit with the girls. Interested in Chae-kyeong, their friendship grows to love on his side, while she remains innocently unaware of it until much later. Although the position of the Crown Prince originally belonged to him, it was given to his cousin when Yul's father died in a car accident and his mother was found to have had an affair with his uncle, who she was originally in love with, but she decides to marry his brother, the crown prince, wanting her son to inherit the title of crown prince. Originally uninterested in the throne, Yul decides to follow his mother's wishes and compete with Shin for the throne after falling in love with Chae-kyeong. In the end, after realizing that Chae-kyeong and Shin truly love each other, and after discovering his mother's affair with the King, he passes up both the chance of being King and having Chae-kyeong as a wife.

Min Hyo-rin (민효린)

Portrayed by Song Ji-hyo, Hyo-rin is a skilled ballerina. She is beautiful, intelligent, accomplished—basically, perfect in every way possible, but she is also poor. Prince Shin and her ballet instructor paid for her tuition fees at school. In the beginning, she is Shin's girlfriend, and he proposes to her. However, she rejects him, not only because she thinks he is joking, but also because she does not wish to give up her dreams of becoming a star ballerina. When she sees Chae-kyeong and Shin's wedding and how Chae-kyeong is loved by the people (similar to Diana, Princess of Wales), she regrets her hasty decision, and does everything she can to oust Chae-kyeong from her position. Hyo-rin finds ways to draw Shin back to her, including a "chance" meeting in Thailand, but simply ends up hurting herself, resulting in attempting suicide by a pill overdose. Later, however, she decides that Shin does truly love Chae-kyeong, and she ultimately gives him up and decides to just concentrate on her ballet.

Synopsis

The story begins with 20 year old Xiao Shi (Cyndi Wang) day dreaming on her balcony, wishing upon a shooting star for a successful love. In her dazed state, she accidentally knocks her mug over the edge, which then lands and bounces off the front of the famous singer He Qun's (Nicolas Teo) sportscar, when he happened to be driving past. This marks the beginning of their intertwined destinies.

The next morning, Xiao Shi's flamboyant but nonetheless supportive family, conducts a good luck ceremony for Xiao Shi, as it is her and her current boyfriend, Peter's 3 month anniversary. Despite being cursed with relationships not exceeding 3 months by her first 'boyfriend' Ah Zhe (Gino), Xiao Shi has a great feeling about today, recalling Peter telling her that he will introduce her to the most important woman in his life. Thinking that he means his mother, Xiao Shi is so confident that everything will go well, even making a bet with her brother that she can bring Peter home that night

Enjoying her date, everything appears to be progressing smoothly for Xiao Shi. Peter suddenly brings her right into the centre of a cross section and Xiao Shi assumes that he is going to confess his undying love for her. However, his real intention is to break up with her, claiming that she's 'not his style' and pointing to the scantily clad girl across the street (his new girlfriend) who is his style. Xiao Shi is devastated and a dark cloud looms over her head (literally).

Hanging her head in defeat, Xiao Shi wanders through the streets and doesn't take notice of where she's going until she bumps into a stranger. This stranger happens to be the 22 year old in disguise, He Qun, who's just run away from his own press conference and in the process of fleeing the paparazzi. The clumsy encounter leaves the both of them in a compromising position in the middle of the streets, allowing the paparazzi to obtain a few shots of the both of them "kissing".

He Qun, accustomed to this kind of thing, being a celebrity, recognises trouble when he sees it, so he runs for his life dragging Xiao Shi with him as to protect him from the idea of two-timing his ex-girlfriend, Rita, who had broken up with him for his brother just hours before. Through a series of mishaps, tossed in with a bit of fate, He Qun ends up providing refuge for Xiao Shi in his own bedroom, for the night.

Unbeknownst to them, the newspapers have been working overtime, and by morning, the image of them kissing in the streets cover the front page of every tabloid. The dreary and clueless pair step out onto the balcony, where the waiting reporters are virtually fed evidence of their affair. To protect He Qun's career, his agent Vincent has no choice but to introduce Xiao Shi as He Qun's fianceé.

As the series continues, it is shown that Ah Zhe's girlfriend Xiao Rou, through an unfortunate accident, was unintentionally killed by He Qun. Ah Zhe, unable to forgive or trust He Qun, leaves his family and severes ties with his brother.

From this point on, Xiao Shi's world is turned upside down. Yet she begins to realise that there may be a cure for her curse after all. Meanwhile, the poor little rich boy, He Qun, gradually discovers that the love and warmth he's never known, can be brought about by the simplest things (or people).

Xiao Shi, initially in love with He Qun's younger brother, Ah Zhe, who so happened to save her life, finds herself with mixed feelings for He Qun. Meanwhile, He Qun finds himself falling for Xiao Shi. However, he denies his feelings for her and leads Xiao Shi to believe that he is still in love with Rita.

In the end, after a turn of events and when the two publicly declare their love for one another, He Qun and Xiao Shi finally get together with He Qun proposing to Xiao Shi.
